What is the difference between garment measurements and body measurements

How much these two measurements differ depends on the structure of the garment you are creating, and the fabric you choose to use. If it is a fitted look, then these two measurements will be very similar. If you were creating a body-con look or leggings with fabric that is meant to stretch than the finished garment measurements might even be smaller than the average body measurements.
